We have a member (none British) living abroad at present who has purchased a motor sailor in England and needs to insure it,

However some insurance companies insist on a UK residency address but He intends to 'Live aboard' when he arrives in the UK

Would the marina address be enough ?

Any advice/suggestions appreciated

The only advice I can offer is simply to remind your friend that in English law a contract of insurance is uberrimae fidei - ‘ of the utmost good faith’ and any little white lies at all make the policy voidable at the option of the insurer.

So talk It through with the insurers making it clear that he will be living aboard.

This is good advice. However, there are marinas and insurers who are happy with liveaboard. Suggest you ask on the liveaboard forum.
