IMHO - you need it in writing not "ringing me back"

"We are pleased to confirm that the use of heaters and dehumidifiers would not affect the cover provided by your policy. However we do stress the importance of ensuring that such items are used in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and that they are in good order."

they rang me back on Friday dry late afternoon to confirm that dehumidifiers were ok to be left unattended and they are coming back to me tomorrow (Monday) re the Exclusion 2 and I’ll ask for it all in writing then.
