Instruments Again

After an awful lot of thinking I've decided to go for the NASA instruments. The cockpit will contain:

*Log
*Depth
*Wind
*Close Haul Wind
*Compass
*GPS Repeater

All of these, apart from the depth, will be networked into the NMEA0183 input on an Simrad NSS7 or NSS7 EVO2 plotter. The plotter has a built in fishfinder sonar, so will add a transducer for that and have depth on both - but the plotter one of course is a much more detailed view of the sea floor which will still be available from the tablet in the cockpit...

I'll also add a DSC VHF with built in AIS receiver interfaces to the NMEA2k port on the plotter. Combined with the existing Nasa BM-1 and car stereo that's the electronics fit out for my boat!

Thanks all!

Good Luck :)

Sounds a nice setup and as said above will be a lot more user friendly in use than just a couple of multi-function displays which you have to keep pressing buttons to get to the screen you want at that moment.

Errrrmmm - if you are looking for a more - lets say cost effective and reliable option for an instrument package - - what's wrong with Advansea ?

Look good. But still £200 plus each for a single function display.

I need a poll!

£200-300 Fix/replace existing 4 stowe displays
£600-800 Replace stowe displays with new dedicated displays
£900 Actisense and 2 new style multi displays

Hmmmmm!!
