The connections from the instrument readouts on the hatch garage are in choc strip in a dry internal location. They have not failed in >12y, but I want to tidy them with new (but still demountable) connectors.

As access is difficult and the wire tails short, I did consider Wago splicing connectors: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/non-fused-terminal-blocks/7581650/. They handle a range of wire sizes to 28AWG, but the possibility of corrosion was raised on another thread and I cannot find the composition of the contacts.

These push button terminal blocks http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/non-fused-terminal-blocks/0815852/, also by Wago, have tin-plated copper contacts and also go to 28AWG. They seem potentially suitable to me, but I wondered if anyone had experience of them in a similar application - or of course, a better suggestion.

Wago are the way to go - awful pun. http://www.screwfix.com/p/wago-basic-installer-box-75pcs/48808 and the related boxes.

Really are great, first used them this time last year to install new GPS, AIS and plotter - makes all the connections easy and changeable . Especially when you get the + and - of the GPS the wrong way around and have a blank screen.

Thanks to both.

Which type did you use - the splicing connectors with the orange levers, or one of their other types?

If it was the splicing connectors did you use any holders for them, or were they just used loose?
