Sort of middle page spread - readers Epirbs... ooooooh errrrrrrrrrr thats a nice piece of circuit board - wouldnt mind getting me lips around that one for an hour...

Well, not really.. but Internal shots can be soooooo acceptable at times..

I have a similar unit to yours. The yellow one rather than the orange.

The guy at the shop told me there was a helicopter inside mine. After seeing your pictures I'd better check.

Thanks

PS: Impressive knees

Did it come apart easily and are you going to replace cells yourself? Mines due for batts. They want £160 + vat. I saw lithium thionyll cells for £3.60 each. 10 year shelflife. Whats in yours, lithium sulphide?

Hi
I am not replacing the batteries - it is only so it can be airmailed back to Australia, they are sending me a new MT403.

the batteries, are Lithium SO2 and it was simplicity to take apart, 4 screws on the case flange, 2 holding the twin battery pack and a single 2 pin connector to the PCB. The batteries a soldered to a frame unit top and bottom.

Hope that helps

Joe

Hi Gadriel
check the liveaboard forum for my epirb post.
It developed signs of cracking in the casing. they are sending a new MT403 foc and want the old unit back for inspection. it was 3 years old. the customer service has been tremendous.
