Inside of canopy is salted

The inside of my canopy has salt deposit on the material areas...


I tried scrubbing them off with detergent in September but its back again.....


is there something that will remove it?

Salt inside? If that's so it must be coming through the cloth. We only seem to get mildew, but that's another story. Generally we bung our sprayhood & cockpit tent in the washing-machine occasionally & then spray with proofing stuff. Sometimes SWMBO just lays it out on the jetty & scrubs it with a deck brush.

with the canopy up at 20Kts you tend to get fine spray coming back into the cockpit, particularly if the back panel is out.
if it IS coming through the material then my friends who made the boat can have it back and i will use canopy No4 that they have currently lost!!!!!


the roof panel and front screen are too big to go into a domestic washing machine.....and the front screen panels have clear plastic that youre supposed to be able to see through.
