inside cabin moulding is greasy how to remove

I have stripped out all my cabin lining because the plywood interior was totally rotten, now I want to make patterns to refit. In trying to sticky tape the pattern material to the internal moulding nothing will stick ,the tape just falls away not matter what brand I use, what can I do to improve the stiction???

If you're doing it in Britain right now you're probably breathing condensation onto it as you're working, so nothing will stick

I find sugar soap is very good at removing dirt and grease.

It's cheap and doesn't produce harmful fumes.
