Inshore along the Channel Islands coast ?

I think there is a gap in the market for a small book entitled "Channel Island Anchorages". None of the published stuff covers this in a systematic way.

I can think of just over a dozen bays around Jersey where I would consider dropping the hook in the right conditions. Almost all of them are mentioned in Reeds, in half a page of text, probably in sufficient detail for someone also armed with a decent set of charts and sufficient confidence/competence to assess the suitability of each one in terms of tides, holding and weather conditions etc. (If there is any incomplete coverage then it is in respect of the East coast).

Likewise for Sark. Just about every bay is a potential anchorage (although one or two are very tight). The Reeds chartlet identifies a dozen anchorages around the island and, again, devotes half a page of text to describe them.

The section on Alderney lists half a dozen possible anchorages, in a quarter page of text, and I can't think of anywhere obvious that is missing.

I don't consider I have sufficient knowledge to comment on Reeds' coverage of Guernsey anchorages, but the half page of text also seems adequate. Perhaps Guernseyman could comment.

Detail tends to cover depths, holding, shelter and shore access/facilities. So, I'm not sure what more is needed. I guess a handy booklet might be nice to bring it all together in a single document. But, IMO, all the necessary info is there in Reeds. You could, of course, supplement this with a pilot book (like the Carnegie one) telling you the best approaches into each of the bays.
