Took the foam out of some rib boat cushions to clean the covers. Stupidly threw away the thin plastic sheet that covered the foam, without realising what is was there for. It is there to make putting foam back in possible (also I imagine to stop the foam getting too wet). Anyway as you have probably realised I can't get some of the odd shaped pieces of foam back into their covers.

I have searched but can't find a supplier of the very thin 'slippery' plastic sheet. Anyone know of a supplier?

A packaging supplier is your best bet for thin poly films, available in rolls either flat, centre folded or tube. The alternative is to cover the foam with muslin, available from fabric shops.

On tv currently, is the rebuild of an MGB. The upholsterers used clingfilm.
