Inmarsat Mini-M airtime

Have been casting around for a good airtime rate. I have identified a couple of US suppliers which appear to be significantly cheaper than UK. Does anyone know if there are likely to be any problems/additional costs in signing up with a US supplier - eg some sort of duty, or VAT (although I don't know how that would be collected). I can see that local/federal sales taxes might apply. I'm thinking that it's a bit like signing up for internet site subscriptions originating in US, which seem to work OK.
