Inline water softener cartridge for a hose pipe

Does anyone know where I can buy one of the inline water softener cartridges that you fit onto your hose pipe so when you rinse the car off it does not dry with water marks all over it, Yes I know use a leather and I do but this really helps as I live in an area where the water is really hard.

When I had my boat the chap next to me had one and when he rinsed his boat off it left no water marks on the screen like mine did it was a tube about 2ft long and fitted inline of his hose pipe

amount of salt my softner goes through, for the whole house, cant see an in line product working for any length of time.

I'm having the same problem and have found one in screw fix for about 20 squid, it has replaceable carbon cartridges so you can change it when needed. I'm fitting it this week so will let you know how it works out.
