Inlet Raw Water Strainers

Hi
Can any one help I am trying to find out if it is possible to obtain a new strainer basket for the Raw Water Strainer seacock on my Nic 31 it is about 1.5 ins dia 3.5 ins long with a red plastic coated open shut lever and a swivel top fixed with 2 wing nuts manufacturers name would be a great help

You could make one out of perforated bronze or brass sheet.

Had the same problem myself with my Fairey Fisherman two years ago and I bought some fine mesh stainless steel & made up a new one with that. It works a treat, and was easy to make up by bending it round to fit the retaining collars of the old strainer and braising them together.

Very easy to make from any suitable-sized nylon mesh with the seams stitched with sail thread.
