Thanks for thehelp and advice I got just before the holiday. It meant I was just able to get her up and running and onto my summer mooring at Conwy.
Hairline crack on No 1 injector pipe found ( as advised) Pipe supplied next day by Diperk... bit difficult to thread through everything else but we managed!!
New starter sourced via my local auto electrician £240
Crossland filter as recommended seems fine.
Word of caution!! I tried the new crossland filter and had no oil pressure, I refitted the old one as a temp measure, almost ran out of oil in Colwyn bay, discovered that (when I took the old one off I with the chain wrench I had made a slight puncture) Fitted the second crossland filter and after a second or two got oil pressure. Good job I had been checking the oil and was carrying the spare.
Anyway all solved except that the 'trusty' seagull which started easilly several times in the test tank wouldnt go, after a hundred pulls ...nothing... plug not really wet so stripped and cleaned carb... another hundred pulls... nothing....'new' engine on order!!
Thanks for all your help guys.
Regards Peter
