Lovely pic John. Is this Inverness? Great boat too :encouragement:

No that was over a Kyle of Lochalsh earlier this year, a bit further to the right is the Sky bridge, never was good at framing pictures, Spare Thyme is now back at Inverness.

People ask me how reliable the Cats are, I always travel with a couple of spares:D

Great pic John. Causing a degree of consternation chez nous. Lady Rafiki keen on the spare Cats. Me less so :)

I've had to add a dog basket to Stella's accommodation/setup... it took me a while to come to terms with the fact that the family are far keener if our old Lab can come along as well :)

Felines on a boat must be challenging. Our old mog would have ripped the sofas and carpets to shreds. Dogs perhaps easier to manage on board?

They are remarkedly well behaved, we bring one of those corrugated cardboard scratch pads, sprinkle some catnip on it and that’s all they scratch, the big white one has a life jacket and is a bit miffed when we put it on but he often likes to walk around the deck when at anchor, it has a loop on the back so if he does fall in we can boat hook him out and remain a good distance from him as I guess he would be really miffed about that. Black one very rarely goes out, if he does we normally keep a lead on him, life jacket on him and he freezes as a solid lump. However with cats on board you have to have eyes in the back of your head, and know where they are all the time, on a pontoon they are always looking at ways to escape as they know better than you

Worth remembering, dogs have owners, cats have staff :D

Dropped by Solent Motor Yachts today. Unfortunately it was shut when I got there, as I would like to know the extent of this new dealership. The sign you could see from the road last week has gone, but if you pull in outside of SMY there is a small Azi sign. I will give Derek a call in the week if I get time. As PeteM said earlier, Derek is an ok bloke.

Hi Paul - it was a quiet affair! Just the three Azi skippers, met up at the up top bistro bar/restaurant at the Lymington Yacht Haven, I'd not been there in ages, very nice place, great & friendly staff/service. Very much enjoyed about 3 hours of boating chit chat, the usual; how, what, who, where, when, + some gossip and stories... hope to do it again in a few months, perhaps in the spring, and will post a note up on here as and when we do - it'd be great to have a few more Azimut owners along if any find themselves free and would like to, I think if we got all of the UK Azi owners to turn up at once though then we might have to put two tables together :)

Sounds great Phil. Looking forward to the next event.
