Hi,
Although a boater who these days prefers masts, I've always liked the lines and design of the Sea Nymph small fishing boat. I remember them in the 70s and saw one being launched from a trailer and setting out from the harbour . It's always stuck in my memory as it was very rough that day and I was impressed by the sea qualities she displayed.
The guy who used it was a part time lobster fisherman. I was wondering if someone could give me some information on these boats: who manufactured them; how many were built; is there a sea nymph owners type club? Does the manufacturer still exist and what other designs did they have?
I expect it had a really heavy lay up compared to some of the boats built these days. They certainly look pretty solid. Very much a competitor of the Orkney Longliner but never as successful saleswise probably.
Thanks in advance.
I enclose a url of a pic to jog your memories. They seem to keep their value really well too.
