Am sizing up suitable spots for the Autumn cruise the week after next and would appreciate some local input on the following.
Roach - since our favourite spot has been blighted by a landfill site, does anyone know the situation with moorings and getting ashore at Paglesham boatyard? Understand it has been for sale for some time and have heard rumours of access being discouraged. Also heard there is a lot of lowlife living on the foreshore now.
Blackwater - Not been to Bradwell since our previous poor experience when based there in 2000/2001. Assume same ownership still. Does anyone know if the Green Man does decent beer (i.e. not Greene Thing)? Alternatively, anyone been to the Kings Head recently?
Colne - note the harbourmaster now runs the 'marina' pontoons (see forum passim). Anyone know if visitors can use them and if there is power available?
Thanks in advance.
(PS. It is appreciated that, based on this mornings output from our friends at the NOAA, it looks like a week at the Three Ducks is probable, but I have promised to do the research.)
