Have to go there on business in Oct for several weeks and wondering if you know of any cruisers or racers out there who might need an experienced crew for evening/weekend races or short trips.
No (more) jokes about kidnapping/drugs/ransom please - this is a genuine request.
Cheers

I haven't sailed there yet, but spent 2 weeks on a work trip to Colombia in March. A contact at the British Embassy in Bogota reckons Cartagena is very safe as there is a tight security cordon round the city, and the marina is also well guarded.

The Ocean Cruising Club has a local port officer there who could undoubtedly give you useful advice.

Re: you lucky lucky lucky bratsad

Thanks for the advice/comments. I've managed to make contact with John, the local dockmaster who can help me out with local regatta info.
