Info about MAXI 1050 / 1100 / 1300 ... needed

I own a MAXI 1050 build 2007 by NIMBUS in Gothenburg/Sweden. Recently my yacht was damaged by another boat so that (among other parts) the aluminium toe-rail has to be replaced. But unfortunately, nobody knows where this rail stems from and where it can be ordered.

Since many MAXI yachts have been sold to the UK, I hope that someone here has the required information or some hint at least, where to continue my search.

I wrote to NIMBUS, NAJAD (owning the rights on the MAXI for some time) and DELPHIA (now owning the rights on this brand), however without any success.

I had also contact with the German DELPHIA representative who suggested to make contact with an UK representative of the new MAXI brand, who also represented MAXI in the past (i.e. with the former MAXIs). Also here my search was without success and maybe someone knows this person or company respectively.

The UK Maxi dealer for many years was Roger Moon of SD Marine. I believe Roger himself has recently sold the business and (semi) retired, but I think he's still in regular contact and SD would be able to put you in touch with him.

Perhaps you could post a picture of your toe-rail? It seems unlikely that it was made especially for Maxi, so someone with another kind of yacht might recognise it. Certainly the extrusion on our 1998 Maxi 34 looks much the same as found on other boats of the period.

Roger is your man: still active selling boats at SD Marine, and (I believe) involved with the new polish-built Maxis as well.

I tried SD-Marine and got this reply :

We don't have any Maxi stock anymore, we haven't dealt with Maxi for nearly 6 years now, and it has changed hands as you are probably aware of. Sorry we can't help you any further.

Try sending a decent photo of your toe rail profile to YS [Allen Group] in Southminster in Essex.
They make or used to make alloy trail,sections for all sorts of boat builders/manufacturers.
20 years ago when I needed new toe rail for my Jeanneau following a T-bone whilst racing Jeanneau were unable or unwilling to help but YS remachined one of their standard profiles to fit.

So far all queries have not been successful (except for YS / Allen Group which is still pending). Nevertheless I thank all of you for your support which I do appreciate very much. Further hints and tipps are still welcome, of course.
