inflatable with avon style rowlocks

GrahamM376,

Yes they do. Thank you for that.

Maybe other chandleries show stock of different Wavline models so care is needed when ordering to ensure buying the right version.

However just when you think you have found what you want - they are out of stock, typical !!!!!!

Already mentioned, but I just bought a Seago ( from Force 4 as it happens ) with proper rowlocks.

I converted my 1984 Zodiac 240 to use tough plastic rowlocks very easily; don't know what more modern versions have.

Just a thought, don't ask for one with blue rowlocks - I painted mine with PVC paint to stop them going sticky in the sun.

Gavin,

I've removed some horrid flimsy Rowlocks from my ML Lifeguard inflatable and replaced them with a pair of Avons Solid Rubber type ones we had on clearance at work - I'm a middle-performer at DIY (at best) and found it to be a simple job, if you need any help on it, give me a shout :D

Thanks for that

Am going to try it on the zodiac, although I hate the bloody thing - would get a 3d tender if they had decent rowlocks

Hi Gavin,
I have just bought yellow Lifeguard inflatable here in Finland. It's from 70's and I have no idea where the boat has come to Finland and what might be its history. I am interested in any information of Lifeguard boat brand. Where have you bought yours and what is its measures. The onuy information I have found is that ML Lifeguord has Hypalon tubes. Br Tapio

Hi Tapio,

I take it that was aimed at me? rather than Gavin, who I was replying to! :p

I'm afraid I have very little information on the Lifeguard Inflatable either. As far as I know, it is no longer in production and indeed, it is a Hypalon construction...the only other thing I know is that the floor is a pig to get in! ;) I picked mine up cheap from a customer who no longer wanted it. Mine is a 3m with the conical tube ends.

Sorry I can't help further there :(

Hi Fishy/Nik

Here is two pictures of my Lifeguard. See how beautiful it is. It has slattered deck and as you can see it has redcrest style stern. In oarlock there is a red manufacturers plate. Pressure recommendation is 22,4 Kpa and country of origin is UK. Boat is in excellent condition, only the rubrails are a bit cracked.

Maybe some other visitor on this forum has seen a boat like this. I appriciate any information.
