I'm about to glue 4 lifting points onto my inflatable dinghy tubes so it can be lifted into the davits. (Dinghy has slatted floor)

Where does the forum recommend I attach them? Near the floor, half way round or near the top of the tube? Lift will be with inverted Y shape strop.

Davits are Simpson LDS75. Dinghy is Seago 260.

All answers gratefully received.

Does your dinghy have a hard transom? If so then you should be lifting from there, at the stern. 2 x1/4in eye bolts about 3/4 ins down from the top and about the same in from the sides. The bow patches should be roughly under you davit lifting point and half way round, at the widest part, of the tube. If you don't have a hard transom, then do the same at the stern.

3 point lift may be OK. one eye bolt each side of transon plus the painter attachment point thus no need to glue on extra pads.
