Thanks for all the replies,
we went to 'Go Outdoors' for a look-see at the canoe they've got on offer.....
Quoting Mrs Scruffs....." if you think I'm getting in that stupid thing...etc...etc".
So sticking with the Avon it is then.
I used to roll up my inflatable dink & tie it on the deck, just in front of the hatch on my old 25 footer. Now I have a 31' ketch it goes just behind the mast or on top of the aft cabin. A rolled inflatable does not take up a lot of room & could even go down one side deck if you didn't mind losing access along it .
