Has anyone used an induction hon that has worked with a modified wave inverter?

We have an inverter on board Rated at 2kw. We use it for boiler a kettle but it won’t power the Tefal Induction hob since it doesn’t have a pure sine wave.

I’m hoping someone has tried one whereby it’s circuitry is ok with a modified wave as our Tefal one isn’t.

As I understand it, induction hobs must be powered by a PSW inverter. Haven't come across any exceptions to this.
Question is then which inverter to choose... Prices vary enormously...

Interesting question and one I asked Sterling Prower Products, one of Paul's favourite manufacturers

Their reply was a modified sine wave inverter was fine for one of their induction hobs. I bought a pure sine wave inverter instead after they did a sale on their website offloading some stock at pretty good prices.

I have a 2500kw 5000kw max cheapo pure sine wave with a remote switch that I installed a couple of years ago. Works as it should to combi mw and lidl induction hob. Even running engine 120a output 400ahc bat capacity ,it puts bat monitor into negative territory.

That’s what I want to know! Thanks. My current setup and inverter is excellent so there’s no way I’m changing that now.

That's what I want ! Tell me more! I didn't think there could be a 'cheapo' PSW inverter especially with that output !
