I am thinking of abandoning the traditional summer holiday and just grabbing weather windows as they evolve, but need help from you in finding the perfect cruising weather. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Well the weather forecast is stretched to the limits so could be coldest wettest spell on record yet /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

My decks have been finished now thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can take a photo next time we go and post a mini report here *if anyone else is interested or thinking of Teak/Flexi/Tek Dek.

I don't have much of a reputation for reports on here, I usually just post photos and leave everyone else to post the description especially if I didn't know where I was when I took the photo /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

* report could take a few weeks, I am going to be busy swimming, snorkeling , wakeboarding and sunbathing for the next 10 days /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hi Mark,

Where have you been? You missed a good night on Saturday. We, bale out and Eldora went and anchored of Selsey to watch the firework display. Unfortunately it was a little rocky so went back to east head in the pitch black where I ran aground three times!!! Then went to Itchenor and ate a curry prepared by Stella. Missed the fireworks.....

Not made any plans yet for next week. We will be children free so just going to relax. And now I've got eberspacher I don't mind what the weather's like. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Swing seat is great thanks Doug and still in regular use, had 'high' tea on it yesterday /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Or were you trolling and expected me to fall into the trap of

'Oh yes SWMBO and I still enjoy swinging' /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

BTW
(we dont swing, but Doug and a few on here know the tale of our unfortunate close shave /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)

Please show! We are thinking seriously about taking the aging Treadmaster off the cockpit area and, possibly, the decks of our little Nelson. We have the sample bits from a couple of companies selling synthetic teak covering but it's a bit difficult to visualize the overall effect. Whatever we decide on must be able to cope with spilt red wine - and Treadmaster doesn't. Your photos would be much appreciated.

Exactly what we do. Winter season brings excellent boating weather along with deserted anchorages and plenty of space at visitors berths/buoys.

Wednesday looks good at our side - Force 1 top 2 and 18c /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have some photos which I will send to you now but they are not very good and I need to take some of the bathing platform.
I will post next week the full set and details.

cheers
Pete

Took delivery of RD in April & the day she went in the water the weather turned crap. She is now back out having new toys added & some niggles put right. How much is it worth not to put her back in too soon. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Our boat was recently out of commission when we wanted to use her, I spoke to the contractor who quickly made the boat ready and left it immaculate, they then restarted after the weekend.

Why not have a word with your engineers ?

Any good Marine yard knows how valuable time spent afloat in good weather is .

(it was only a Teak Deck been fitted but still a lot of work to tidy up polish and remove tools etc only to start again on Monday)
