I have need of a suitable RYA qualified examiner in or around the Brighton area, to examine a collegue, to establish their compitence, up to coastal skipper (power) does anyone know of such a personl? Also the collegue has a recent RN "officer of the watch ticket" and military radio operators ticket too, is it possible to recieve an RYA eqivalent by producing them and paying for the certificate? (guess I should approach the RYA direct ) I just wonderd if anyone had come across this in the past?
Thanks in anticipation

Have a look at MCA site.

Check out MSN 1808 & MGN 280, these show quals required etc. If the RN tickets satisfy STCW 95, they should be better than any RYA tickets.

Could also ring someone like UKSA for oppinion.

You havent had the pleasure of teaching the RYA course to a serving RN officer. Dont know what they do teach them but it certainly isnt as comprehensive as I would have expected.
