Just been emailed about River Thames at Walton;

The river and flooding forecast is as follows: River levels are continuing to rise on the River Thames following the recent rainfall. Flooding of some low lying properties closest to the river is expected later tonight and tomorrow morning. The Thames will continue to rise for the next 24 hours and currently, levels are expected to be higher than the levels seen just over a year ago in November and December 2012. The weather forecast is to expect showers to spread across the area tonight, some of these will be heavy. More heavy showers are expected through Tuesday.

Off to the boat tomorrow then!!

It's even more of a pain if your boat is fasten to a trailer on land next to the river!!

I may have to temporarily relocate it to Hertfordshire which at least means I don't have to stress about it 40 miles away and I can keep an eye on it!

River Wey has flooded again. Was back in our garden when I left for work this morning.

Anyway, look on the bright side. Things change considerably in the next day or two, and next week we'll all be freezing our butts off.

The upside is it will clear a lot of the rubbish both human and natural out of the watercourse.
The amount of "carp" floating past my boat was impressive down here on the tidal bit.
TV pictures up at Allington appeared to show the all the weir gates fully drawn ?
