Nav Lights!
Interesting comments, so what would you do......03.30.Sunday Last, Position O/S Sherringham Bank off N.Norfolk coast, on passage Whitby/Lowstoft..Fair amount of commercial traffic about. AIS alarm going ape. Sailing, with Tricolour fully visible, Vessel coming up astern..CPA.!!! TCPA 8mins. Resort to VHF and ask why unwarranted interest in transom? Short pause, before comment...hadn,t seen you..can't see a stern light!...Response, engine on, Nav lights on, Steaming light on, Deck flood lights on! and turn towards bank!....passed about 100m away on Port side.....After gone, back to Tri-colour!
