Well, I managed to locate two speakers too close to the tiller pilot just before the trip resulting in Mr.T and her crew turning numerous circles in the vicinity of Sealand on the way to Ostend in an attempt to callibrate the uncallibratable. Speakers removed - job became a goodun.

So what have you done recently ?

Tightened up my shaft coupling after a nut came off and made aweful clonking noises at it smacked the back of the gear box. It has also got rid of the vibration when motoring and reduced the leak from my stern gland. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

got onboard a boat with a skipper who puts high powered speakers near sensitive flux gate compasses.

Where are you when
1-You're sailing along at the side of a TSS
2-Wind drops so you decide to fire up the donkey
3-Engine started, sails dropped, and after a short time where visibility is obscured you resume your previous heading
4-Looking forward you see a heavy about half a mile out coming straight at you and course looks to be passing you to stbd
5-Looking astern you see another heavy about a mile out coming straight at you and course looks to put him passing to port
