I have a Dickinson Alaska boat heater that has reached the end of it's life and gone on to better things.Looking for a replacement I found one on line in the USA that is 650 us dollars, a lot less than here or in the UK.I have sorted the customs end (2.5% on top of price and postage) and vat has to be added on as well.
The thing that has stopped me is the postage cost. The suppliers want to send it by fed ex which is very expensive they say ordinary post is too risky.Has anyone got any light to shed on this as I want to fit a new heater this winter(I may get Santa to pay for it)cheers
