Ive decided on a very profitable import business, the overall plan looks good and backers seem keen, the only info im stuck on is how fast would my boat have to be to out run most coastal /offshore patrol boats? Im also very interested in the overall range the police /customs boats can achieve?

I also would like to find out about the south coast, I dont know it very well and wonder whether any of you know of any out -of- the- way coves? They would have to be away from towns and not frequented by visitors with good access for a minibus and access at all times of the night.

many thanks in advance.

First of all. It's much better to have a much more inocent looking boat that blends in with every one else. A cheap raggie would be good for instance. My P35 does everything your suggesting on a regular basis, without question. Thing is to look inconspicuos and not blam about with some high speed flash, set up. Let's face it, your not going to outrun a Harrier if things get out of hand!! Best I find is to swan off with a wike and kids, borrow or kidnap someones if none available. Tootle round Devon then make a sort of low speed dash to Guernsey. From there you can bumble to your randyvue point!, then back to loads of little rivers and secret coves in Cornwall/ Devon. Take your pick.../forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

There are quite a few redundant Russkie subs which could wellsuit your purpose, rather than landing from the sub just fire a torpedoe up the beach straight into the back of your minibus, or even better buy one with a cruise missile capability and just fire it mid channel.

I would recommend that you take out all the explosive charges first.

Why do you wish to take out the explosive material? Would imagine that if for example one is delivering to Bromley that it might be an excellent idea to have as much explosive as practicable?

Out of your proceeds you could bid for that second hand aircraft carrier and then import via microlights. This would totally confuse them! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Now that is an interesting question. just how many of those big Mercurys would you need on the back of the boat to outrun a 3" shell from a small gun.
