impella cooling system water flow

I recently changed my impella and all the gasgets that go with. Previous to this the water would only trickle out of the outlet near the top of the motor.

Now it is a defently a bigger stream that comes out now, which can only be a good thing. but now I also notice three holes in the lower leg of the motor which water also comes out of now. I had never noticed it coming from there before and I was just a little worried. the holes are situated at the top of the lower leg part of the motor. The holes face towards the trasom.

So when I run my motor with muffs on it comes out the prop/exaust, the three holes on the lower leg and also the stream at the top of the motor. Is this normal? If you need more of an idea I can post some pics somewhere.

By the way it a yamaha 86 50HP model motor.

Any help would be greatley appreciated as I want to hit the water this weekend.

Oh Dear !! Sorry about that reply "telly", as a newbie you deserve better. The output from the leg is the low speed outlet, the top one is only an indicator, as you increase speed the exhaust will come out of the prop.
