Immersion Heater / Calorifier replacement

I think for the sake of £40 I will replace the heating element and thermostat tomorrow, at least that will remove two items from the 'possibles' list. Once done I will turn on for one hour again and see how much hot water we get.

When did the imersion heater last work correctly?

The boat was new to us in January, so although we're aboard most weekends, we haven't used the immersion heater in anger. It has possibly been like this since we bought the boat.
