Well done! Did you Google it, or do you just know Nether Silton? Incidentally I saw the Nether Silton stone many years ago, and at that time nobody seemed to be able to work it out after the first three lines, it was only today that I found out what the rest of the inscription was supposed to mean.
For those who have no idea what we are on about, I found the full solution here
Story told to me was that the squire knew the manor house would be pulled down after his death, and wanted to commemorate it. He had no relatives and left the manor to his servant on condition that the servant erected a memorial stone. Said servant was a mean old scrote and put up a stone with initial letters of the inscription only.
