Images of my new St Francis 50 Cat

Lovely looking boat. One thought though - will the floor varnish be slippery when wet? I had a similar finish on my floor and ended up sticking clear non slip stuff to it, which I intend to remove one day and replace with some non slippery (matt or satin or with granules) varnish.

My monohull has gloss varnish saloon sole, and there is never a problem with grip. On a cat, which should stay pretty upright, it should not be a problem, and it certainly looks nice.

so, should the lads at St Francis be looking for new jobs?

They re not mass produced like Robertson and Caine and the bimini is more that secure.
I have no worries here. Makes jibing easy as well.

I have had the same floor before and found no slip problems.

The lads at St Francis are a good bunch and I am sure will have a good future building boats.

We have out a lot of thought into this boat and there will be a detailed video about the soec and the whys and wherefores.

Thank you for showing us your lovely cat (at last) We had a Dean Cat originally and it was also very well built in RSA. Good luck/fair winds
