Yep, that's what I thought a falorum was; a made up word suggestive of libido, appearing in a dodgy rhyme favoured by rugby players and morris dancers.

Re: I\'m really quite surprised

I think we'll be ok just so long as the steel boat owners don't want an irony forum.

Re: I\'m really quite surprised

I think the title is something like "An old man came a courting me" and the chorus is:

Maids when you're young never wed an old man
For he's got no falorum, falivin falorum
He's got no falorum, fa livin fa liv i-i-i ng
He's go no falorum, he's lost his ding dorum
Maid's when you're young never wed an old man!

I don't even want to think about what a ding dorum is!

I wonder if falorum came up in Claymore's little chat with HRH at the Blackpool and Fleetwood bash last week?

Re: I\'m really quite surprised

Ah, sorry, thought you meant a different one. Thanks - know the song well but never knew it had been acquired by the rugger buggers. It was sung and recorded by, by the late Jeannie Robertson, and I'd always assumed that it was a traditional song from the northeast of Scotland.
