This is a pic of the transducer on my boat. Depth works fine but I don't see any water temperature reading. I've searched for the part no 20-637-01 but I haven't found anything. I know from previous experience some posters on here are better at searching these things than me. So if anyone can help I'd be grateful. I'd like to be able to fit a new one without replacing the thru hull housing.

I have called Airmar about a problem in the past and they were above and beyond helpful. I thought I called a Belgian number but they seem to be in France. Worth a try

I'm resurrecting this thread because I still haven't replaced my transducer, and it's on a list of jobs to be done over the winter. My current transducer has depth and temp only and the temp is not working. I'm planning to replace it with one that reads all 3. Airmar tell me their DST810 will fit in the existing housing. I can buy one from the US for around $350. When I was researching it there are quite a few comments about the frequency you need to clean the speed paddle wheel. I'm planning to change the transducer when the boat is on the hard for antifouling in the spring. I'm not sure I'm that brave to be swapping it in and out for cleaning when it's in the water. I also came across this alternative which doesn't have a paddle wheel at the eye watering price of $1,500 https://www.airmar.com/Product/UDST800
At 4 times the price is it worth it? Anyone any experience of these?

If it helps, there are a few videos online showing the volume / height of water that escapes when removed while afloat.

As for cleaning the paddle - do you *need* a log? even when they work, the accuracy isn't great.

I have a couple of transducers and the T121 box listed on eBay, happy to discuss splitting them if any use?

I pull out my Airmar transducer to clean the paddle wheel regularly. The thru hull has a thin plastic flap that closes when you pull the transducer out, limiting the flow of water.

Even if it didn't have one, I reckon you'd get half a litre at most. Depending on how deep your transducer is mounted, there isn't much head of water. About 30cm on our boat.

The transducers come with a blanking plug you screw in whilst cleaning the original. I only ever pull it when stopped at anchor etc but it's really no drama.

If you need a DST810 i have a surplus one, bought it new when i bought this boat, but fitted a downscan sonar instead.
