I\'m feed up with it!

I'm getting to the stage when I'm questioning if its worth it!

I could give a long list of constantly recurring, revolving, never finished with problems.

All I wanted to do was sail.

Just look at the posts over the last 3/4 weeks and beyond.. All problems, problems, problems and I have most of them or have had or will have.
It costs a fortune, huge amounts of time , and very little return.
There must be something better!!!!

Duke.

Re: I\'m feed up with it!

just returned from Brixhan expecting a nice weeken sail but spent the whole time adding extra mooring warps as the wind did its best to blow the boat and pontoon onto the slipway, followed by the noisest night I have ever had on the boat - a total of 8 hours on the M5 for that - but it was still better than painting the hallway or resealing the showe cubicle (again) which were the alternatives - in fact it was almost fun

What about chartering a yacht when required? I am fairly sure it must cost less. But not quite the same.

If you want to know what hassle, expense, unsuitable weather and beauracracy gone mad is all about sell the boat and take up flying.

Then you will realise how lucky we are.

Reason it's problems-problems on the forum is that we are a breed who want to fix things ourselves, or at least understand the problem before we instruct someone else. There are other places to express the sheer joy you've just experienced on a nice sail. SWMBO often says ' why don't you sell the boat' ... she doesn't understand!!
