i have just brought a fairline21 from wayford bridge, i had to bring it back to loddon.And it rain and had a small gale but i had fun

I just come back after boating weekend & found 36 unread posts!!
(I just went to tewksbury, only 2 hours from my mooring).

Cannot belive you have rain and gales, weather in tewksbury (between gloucester and worcester) was fantasic, i mean not a cloud in the sky and 23 degreees in
the shade. I fact when i got back, sweated cobs of cleaning boat (probably more information than you wanted)

Also seems people have been rude on PM system ...

I also nearly wrecked my dads engine didnt see a 30 ft boat when turnin round well it was only a spare

Titch! Your boat is not a Fairline 21. It is a Fairline Family 20 (20'3") first introduced at the Earls Court Boat Show in 1972.

Yes, these things can come from nowhere

I think we all have had close shaves with stuff like that.
When i first had my boat I lost it during mooring with the river 2 foot
in flood and basicaly ended up with someones anchor a foot inside my canapy.
The only good thing was i managed to get it thru the door!!! or it would have
been a very expensive weekend!

Just think, if we did not do things wrong then we would not have anything to
talk about!.

I'll second that, I just drove back from a wedding in Ludlow.

Brilliant weather, beautiful countryside, roof down and sunburnt my bald patch.
