Just been on board Little Ship. After two cans of lager and half a bottle of pear cider Tom announces he is all out of booze.

Seems I drank the boat dry.

So much for the legendary bottomless drinks cabinet.

Fwiw, not later than yesterday I completed the first seasonal boat supply of booze.
3 dozens of red wine bottles, 4 of white, 2 of sparkling, 4 of lager cans.
Plus some collaterals (mirto, filu 'e ferru, gin, campari, etc.).

I'm not round the corner I'm afraid, but I might still have a bottle or three left by the next weekend, if you want to join the party! :D

That is quite cruel.

Clearly a contender to Littleships' Legendary Larder.....the gauntlet has been well and truely thrown down now...:D

That much booze would sink my little boat :o

So Major, you still haven't found it yet. What do you think Mr. LittleShip is doing right now? Don't tell him I gave you this intel, but he has been telling people he installing a fuel polishing system. The truth of the matter is that he replaced to port fuel tank this winter for one with separated compartments. The "fuel Polishing" system is in reality a dispensing unit for the drinks he has stored in the new tank. Thinks he's going to fool everyone. Don't let him deny it. I warned everyone earlier he had a secret drinks storage cabinet.

Mums the word,right.;)

The inside of Little Ship is like a black smith's workshop with signs of furious fettlin' in evidence. Copper piping and filters everywhere, with talk of pipe bends and swarf.

But, I was there when Tom disappeared into the bowels and emerged with a single bottle of pear cider and a matching frown, which told me that he really was scraping the bottom of the barrel.

As I wasn't given the opportunity to blank anything out behind an alcoholic haze, I had to contend with a detailed description of Tom's 'fuel polishing system'®, which seems simple enough and hopefully will be ready for his trip across the ocean to the emerald isle next week.

Basically, for those who were not able to share the experience as Tom explained it to me, while the engine is running, fuel is continuously pumped from the bottom of the tank, through two filters, and then back into the tank.

Apparently this was in response to Tom finding he had created a new form of life within his diesel. I thought the press had picked this up, but it appears that a Dr Craig Venter has also created new life.

Bit of an update. Went to the pub but all the birds were hanging around the hotels looking for the talent.

I bought two rounds because Tom claimed he only had Euros, ready for his trip to Dublin next week. To prove this, just as we went to leave the pub, he opened his wallet and out tumble 110 Euros plus....£100 in crisp 20's.

He claims he didn't know he had the money.

Anyway, there are about five boats heading for a beach BBQ at Pilots Cove tomorrow, so I may see more of the N Wales lot out there, unless Pixie Lott wants me to help her on stage tomorrow. Well, you never know.

I have plenty of disposable BBQ's so just bring refreshments and food.

And remember the forum / internet rule, if there are no pics then it didn't happen, so we are expecting lots of Lakey style pics of Pixie Lott giving a special show (or failing that at least some of her teeny bopper talent)!

Ants
PS I hear underwater lights can help with such gatherings ;-)

the boat is besieged by pre-pubescent girls looking for Vernon Kay who is living in a hotel room 50 metres from Little Ship.
QUOTE]

And just how much time did Tom spend trying to convince these girls that he was Vernon Kay and a millionaire? Shameful of him. I've seen him do that before.

Bernie

I'll have you know that those girls were knocking on the door for a good 1/4 hr before I let them out again!

And I hadn't run out of refreshments, it just that the Major is a bit of a shandy drinker and suffers the morning after if he has too much...... go on admit it Major I was only looking after you.

There was however some spirits but I wouldnt allow Major to sample due to aforementioned weakness :)
Tom
