Illegal boat hurst park

Cycle past that heap regularly. Much to my surprise yesterday afternoon it wasn't in its usual spot. No idea where it is now (roughly translates as don't know what poor s*d has got lumbered with it now).
 
I'd love to know where it is now and who owns it. The only owner who has been pursued through the courts that I'm aware of, is a NB owner who does move around and talks through a hole in his neck. Why he's being made an example of, when there's a slumlord taking rent on the same stretch of river is a mystery.
 
Very interesting reading, cheers! It's good to see positive action being taken by the EA, but their solution is not a cure.
They made a big thing about moving the 'yellow submarine'(an unlicensed lifeboat moored amongst the Ham flotilla)last year. It was towed away despite some of the squatters attempting to disrupt the joint operation.
The yellow submarine simply went to the river mole where it has been ever since. I passed it when I went down their in my tender. I also noticed the sewage that had accumulated around the broken willow branches.
I've been told that the EA are aware, but the council are unwilling,
 
I re read the Guardian article on Hams Houseboat slum(the one that's still there)and was surprised to see the landlords name mentioned in the comments at the end of the article. It's an unusual name, so I assume it's the same bloke who owns the boat at Hurst Park(and left a comment on the friends of hurst park site). If so, it's a shocking state of affairs. One stretch of Thames turned into one mans private business to the detriment of residents, river users and the poor sods that had to live one it

And still there in the afternoon.

And, by way of an aside, the liveaboard heap on opposite bank near Dave Gilmore's houseboat which sank has now been joined on the bottom of the river by the one moored astern of it.
 
This is going to go on for years. He's still advertising accommodation for rent in his boats above Teddington lock.
I'm pretty sure he's the same chap who owns the large abandoned gentlemans cruiser that's submerged next to the Sea Cadets opposite Stevens Eyot.
 
Case adjourned as Judge felt more time required than the half day allotted.

Intrigued that:
He [the judge] added that the technical point that there was a different common law right, separate and distinct from navigation, was an interesting one and that Mr Trotman might need further legal advice on it in order to prove a right going over above any statutory right - a point denied by the Agency. Such a right if proved could permit a boatowner to put a boat wherever they wished. There could be adverse possession of the riverbed, for example. Mr Trotman replied there was no adverse element - he had a right to be moored. The Judge commented he would be interested to see some further argument.
