I'll be back soon ...

Interesting. She measures 34' from stem to stern lip. 38' from the forward limit of her bow rail to aft edge of her bolt on swim platform.

Since there is no true standard for length statement of boats, the model number (despite completely different than the actual) is a safer ID.

Mine has model number 975 but the hull centerline is 9.02 m as per the drawing. When the former version (named 900) was upgraded with new interior etc. and a 75 cm swimming platform, the 975 was put on.
However, mine is the upgraded version without the platform (and I don't know if it ever was there or if the boat could be ordered without).

Lehman marinised them.

But they could be Dorset or Dover, Dover was a new generation of block, less smoke and less oil .

Numbers cast on block near starter motor

Dorset 2700 to 2719.

DOVER 2720 upwards, I think 4 pot Na is 2722e.

Dovers have a round cover held on with 5 small bolts on the front of the timing cover right where the injection pump gear wheel is.

Many congratulations Trevor! Back to Foulkes or going elsewhere?
I am struggling through cold turkey at the moment - thank good news the boat market is so fast moving at present or I would have gone window shopping!

Yes Rob - back to Foulkes - just a bit further along the pontoon from where I was with Boadicea. Lucky to get the berth - MDL wanted £11.5 k p.a. !

Thanks Ben. The boat is 1978, but I will get acquainted soon once the purchase process is concluded.

Could be this one?

I like that someone has been showing off their carving skills when they made the interior doors.

My friend had one with the carvings on the doors….he did some research and allegedly they are all different and mean something to whatever crew/family fitted them out.

If all goes well, you may have to change your sig :)

Best of luck with the sea trial. At least you won't need a tame engineer on board ....

Sea trial tomorrow. If it all goes well completion next week and the immense voyage home from Lymington to Hamble over Easter - 4 days should be enough for ~ 12 miles.
well done, looks v.clean!
btw, are you planning to row the 12miles in 4days then Trevor?
didn't realise diesel is that expensive up there :p

Well almost had a sea trial !

No water flow from the stbd engine. Look like the impeller, but possibly the drive shaft.

So can someone provide some advice please.

The pump is a jabsco with a common range impeller, but access to the cover plate is partially obscured by two of the cover screws being hard up against the engine flywheel cast housing.

I assume to remove this the mount bolts are undone, but it looks like the injection pump has to be at least loosened, if not entirely removed too.

Does anyone know where I might find a parts manual to identify the drive shaft inside the Jabsco pump.

The engine did start so not the injection pump, which drives the water pump.
