If not a Hunter 23 / 232 what\'s the alternative?

I like the H 23 / 232 for its compactness and ease of handling, its good sized sea heads (priority) and, to a lesser priority, the self tacking heads'l. If I wanted another couple of feet and a diesel (and easy single handed sailing) and modern moulded interior ( I HATE false teak!!) what's the nearest alternative given say GBP15k to 17K and shallow draft (my Spanish marina restricts me to less than 2 metres). Hv thought positively of Sadler 25and negatively of MG Spring25....how on earth do I decide ???? Currently have a US Hunter Legend 235 which is too light, and I don't like wobbly lift keels, but has a good sized cockpit. Help.........

I had a Hunter Horizon 26, with bilge keels, for 10 years and was very happy with her. She sailed like a dream and was very manoeverable. She took us cross Channel, Brittany etc.

And it was real teak, or at least teak faced ply.

But anything from David Thomas seems to be pretty good.
