I've just got a new (old) clinker dayboat, with a view to restoring her. I'm trying to find out what type of boat she may be, I know that she was purchased by the previous owner when he lived somewhere in Essex.

There are a few photo's here: http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jwmagee@btinternet.com/album?.dir=a7d5

Length is 14ft, 16ft including the bowsprit, she has a bermudan rig, though I'm not sure if this is the original. The hull is made from pine or larch, with oak ribs, the top boards appear to be mahogany, and additional trim made from oak.

Can anyone help?

thanks

John

Haven't the faintest although it looks the basis for a nice restoration.
Maybe a little Viagra for the bowsprit?

I'd be tempted to go back to wood again on the hull, just to be sure.
