Got a slight issue, basically a local company wired up our AIS splitter/navtex/C70 chartplotter.

To cut a long story short they charged a big bill and couldn't really do the job properly.

The only problem I have is that the Depth + Distance/Trip wont show up on the Navtex.

Is there an adpater or something I need?

Thanks.

Download this manual and check out page 43.

If any questions then call ICS who are the makers and very helpful

The easy answer is that you should be asking the people who fitted it to sort it out properly, especially if you think they've overcharged.

To answer in more detail, we'd need to know where your depth and distance/trip data is coming from, and where your GPS data is connected.

Is the Navtex connected to the C70 NMEA output and are your Log and Depth instruments ST60s?

If so, you can select which NMEA sentences are output from the C70. You will need to consult the C70 Handbook - see P186.

I would guess that the depth and log outputs are currently not being transmitted from the C70 but, as requested above, we need more info on your full set-up to be definite.

The problem is, they did it over a year ago, and due to various reasons I am only getting around to sorting stuff out now.

I will try and find out more info.
