Icom remote command mic - no rx?

Morning!

I just ran a 5m cable from helm to chart table (for me that's an achievement!) but now my remote vhf mic will only tx. No rx speaker. Radio works - checked on handheld.

It's a command mic II , HM157B. I've checked the manual - hold down H/L and press vol for 1 second. No joy. Icom shut til Monday. It's not desperate but be lovely to get the payback for a day's work by getting the thing fully functional. Anyone else had this?

On my HM-162, the squelch for the mic. can be set independently. If turned down too far it might not receive. Perhaps worth checking.

I have found that the volume is also independant on my command mic connected to an IC-M423 unit.

Thanks - definitely not volume or squelch. Intercom doesn't work either. Maybe it needs to go back to icom. Based on last time I'll expect to see it again in about September...

Call Icom service department as they will be very helpful and advise possible solutions prior to sending to them.
