Icom M802 woes

Following on from last week I completed the fitting of the Icom M802 SSB radio. The unit looks great BUT it doesn't work. It all lights up, the switches work but the display is completely blank. Nothing at all appears on the LCD. I suspect the head unit is faulty but I don't have any means of identifying if it is the head unit or the main box. Does anyone have an M802 that I could plug my head unit into and try it out?
