I used this on my RTW and found it immensely useful (and fun). Times have moved on and I hardly touch it nowadays and it's just taking up useful space.

So, is there any value left in the unit (I would include the AT120 tuner in the package)?

As they say oop north - "owts better than nowt" - I'm certainly not expecting much for it but don't want to undersell either (I've got a new battery bank to pay for!).

If there's a market for it I'll put on the for sale forum here first.

Be a bit like losing an old friend - so don't want to bin it.

Thoughts pls.

Edit: I should add it's in fully working order and in good cosmetic condition.

All SSB to me. Was just trying to help. 😊 I saw an M800 or 801 or something like that go for £250 ish with tuner. M710 has VFO? Doesn't mean anything to me.

Check out the SSB RADIO AND EMAIL FORUM on Facebook. There is still a demand for this equipment especially
if you also have the Pactor modem.
Many of the ocean sailors use this for email using short wave radio.

Might also find a customer here in the Livabosrd forum .

We had an M800 and it was invaluable in many parts of Australia and New Zealand both of which suffer from a lack of VHF and mobile phone coverage. The Bureau of Meteorology transmit local marine weather forecast on HF every 4 hours and similar forecast for the oceans where Oz has a responsibility. There are HF nets for fishermen and yachts all round Tasmania - HF is not entirely dead - not everyone can afford satellite

ICOM don't hold spares for the M700 nor 800.

Trouble is, while I’m aware of its uses in the Australian outback, I don’t think there’s a huge market clamouring for an old SSB in the Uk or Med any more. Hence my question about its value £wise in the marketplace here.
Thanks for your thoughts anyway. (I won’t be posting it to Oz🤣)
