Hi Everyone,
Can anyone out there help me regarding some information about acquiring an ICC?
I understand that if I acquire an ICC together with a CEVNI endorsement, this should cover me for abroad, Specifically the Czech Republic. I a hoping to buy a small motor pleasure craft, approx 8m most likely in Germany, and will then 'ship it' (excuse the pun) to Prague in Czech republic).
Does anyone know where I could perform the ICC, ( preferably somewhere in Southern England), and what would be the cost for this roughly? I presume it would be possible to do a intensive course over a couple of days or so.. ?

Many thanks in advance,

Chris.

You should not have any problems with this question as there are a few Forumites on here that can either advise you or better still do the course with you ... I had an RYA instructor/examiner come up to my own boat for the tutition and exam, which was taken over 3 days - both practical and theory - you can also find a website whic will take you through the test papers for the CEVNI, as the course for this is just you learning it (no instruction) and then taking a multiple choice questionaire when you are ready .... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't know about Czech republic but there's plenty of info on RYA web site.
Lots of training courses in the south. Google International Certificate of Competence

Given the size of boat you are considering then a Powerboat Level 2 course will also give you an ICC up to 10 meters. The CEVNI test takes about 15 mins and as long as you gen up on the book, is not that onerous.

We are based on South coast.
