iCal tides

Works for me, but it took a while at the start of the year before the data were there - if I were you I would give it another try.

I use The UK Hydrographic Office's Easytide website for tide predictions for up to seven days. For anything further ahead I just use Reed's Almanac.
I should say that I just use the electronic predictions casually. When filling in the tide times at the top of my logbook pages I use Reed's and do the calculations for differences in height and time, just so as to exercise a learned skill and retain a few brain cells.

I noticed that it did start working for me a few months into the year. But not before I'd splashed out £7.99 on the AyeTides app (Iphone). It's very good and has tide info for 12,500 locations for the next ten years.

That's a great idea! I'm supposed to be studying for the Coastal Skipper - it has surprised me how much of the Day Skipper curriculum I've not used and have therefore forgotten.

Hi. I hope it’s ok to resurrect this thread. I’ve got very used to having tide details in my calendar using mobilegeographics.com. Last year it was a few weeks into the new year before it was updated but this year the website seems to have disappeared all together. Obviously numerous tide apps but none that do anything similar that I can see. Thanks all, Tony

Mine has finally updated after nothing for 28 days, but not for my area of choice which is Margate UK. It’s updated to Pelican Island (North Coast), Australia. Can’t find how to change it. Any ideas?

Same here... mine has updated but to various exotic locations, all a long way from Sheerness, which is what I wanted. Sadly the mobilegeographics website still appears to be down (the calendar part anyway) and I've still had no luck finding an alternative.....
