There's some instructions on how to download the issue to your iPad here – www.mby.com/digsub

You need to know your subscriber number, which is printed on the cover sheet with the issue.

What is the difference between the Newstand version and the Zinio version?

I'm not a great fan of the layout and navigation in Zinio, it's clumsy.

If you have a print subscription do you now automatically get the newstand version as well?

First of all, yes – if you are a subscriber to the print issue of MBY, you can now download an iPad version every month absolutely free. Instructions here.

As to the differences between the Zinio and Apple Newsstand versions. Simply, the Zinio version contains touchscreen interactive content. All the videos we make, we embed on the Zinio version, so you just touch a button and the video plays (as long as you're in a 3G or Wi-Fi zone). We also produce extra photo galleries for the Zinio version.

The Apple Newsstand version (the free one you get with the print subscription) is simply the magazine, on the iPad.

Yes, I can follow that.

Interestingly I had that issue with Wired magazine. I want the Newstand digital version, but I actively don't want the (very nicely and expensively produced) paper version to arrive every month. I take it out of the wrapper and put it into the recycling. What a waste.

However unless someone knows different, I can only have the e-version if I receive the paper one.

I searched for "motorboat" in the app store and MBY does not appear. If you search for "yacht" it does.

Yep, the key words aren't as good as they could be. We're updating this as well.
