I think I have just found my new yacht, unfortunately I cannot afford it.

If you are in the market for a new yacht and feeling flush, then this new yacht might appeal. Launched in Feb 2019 and currently finishing the fit out. It comes with the manufacturers 2 year warranty. There is accomodation for 26 guests in 12 suites.
This Epic Hybrid 352-Foot Gigayacht May Be the Greenest Vessel to Ever Hit the Water. Now It’s Up for Sale.

It reads like another world and is as green as it could be and has 35 tons of lithium polymer batteries, can travel at up to 16 knots, cruising at 10 knots gives it a 8,000 mile range. Oh, there are 12 cranes on board for all the nautical toys, a dance floor retracts for a large counter flow pool, and the usual helipad.

Any takers?

That's funny. I can't afford my dream yacht either, although mine is a more modest Dragonfly 32 Evolution.

That's not a "Gigayacht", that's a "ship". And it isn't even remotely green.
Bingo.
Besides, when compared to a cruise ship, aside from having all the onboard services dedicated only to yourself and a cabin way larger than the most optimistic expectations can envisage, I don't think the boating experience is actually so different.
If anything, long ocean passages are bound to be even more comfortable (and faster!), in something 3 times larger.

In these uncertain times I thought it not wise to hold on to it.

Trying to buy it might amuse my bank manager as he says no, but it certainly wouldn't amuse Milady or me. Totally not our style.

Even with an unlimited budget, I don't think I'd want to go over 40 ft and more likely around 35 ft. Something like this would do very nicely,

It's a shame Grand Banks don't make one around that size now.

Can you single hand it? I've only got a drying mooring so it will need to be able to take the ground. Seriously though, thats a cross channel ferry not a boat. Might be able to sell it to Calmac for luxury Hebridean cruises?
